Father/Daughter - Mother/Son Dance

What a better way to celebrate Valentine's week than by attending a dance with your little son or daughter! Of course, there will be dancing, refreshments, and pictures will be taken of you and your child or children to remember this special night. If you have more than one child, bring them all!
When: Thursday, February 16, 2012
Where: Lenoir City High School Cafeteria
Cost: $15 per couple (includes photo voucher) and $20 (two or more children)

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Come join the fun as you let your kids enjoy the excitement of finding a basket full of Easter eggs and have pictures made with the Easter Bunny. The hunt will be broken down into three (3) different age groups this year: Ages 0-3, 4-7, and 8-12. The event is free and everyone is welcome!
When: Saturday, April 7, 2012: Activities will begin at 1:00 P.M. with the hunt beginning at 2:00 P.M.

Forget Me Not 5K

Come and be a part of our Annual Forget Me Not 5K for Alzheimer's. Whether you are a "runner" or "walker" you'll want to support this worthy fundraising event. All proceeds will go towards Alzheimer's Research.
When: Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 9:00 A.M.

Movies in the Park

Bring your family, a blanket, or chairs and enjoy Movies in the Park!
When: May 18th, June 15th, and July 20th at dusk (approximately 9:00 P.M.)

Rockin' the Docks

Rockin' the Docks will once again bring live music to the Lenoir City Park and Cove area. Food vendors will be providing a wide variety of your favorites so there is no need to bring any food or drinks with you. The children's play area will also be back for kids to enjoy!
When: Saturday, May 26, 2012, live music will begin at 4:00 P.M. and will continue until the Fireworks Show at 10:00 P.M.
Where: Lenoir City Park and Cove

Farmer's Market

Farmers will be set up daily beginning June 9, 2012 and running through the month of August. The Market area is located at the 400 Block of East Broadway in downtown Lenoir City. Come by and see these folks to get your fresh and local produce!

 


Festival of Friends

The Festival of Friends is designed to provide public awareness of the disabled communities of the area, as well as a fun opportunity to get the family out for festive activities. Activities include: music, food, games, and vendors. The Patricia Neal Innovative Recreation Cooperative will host a water ski venue for the day. Festival of Friends is hosted by the Lenoir City Pilot Club and the Lenoir City Parks and Recreation. Other sponsors include local businesses and community service organizations of Lenoir City, and the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center, Ingles, and Wampler's Farm Sausage.

Fourth of July Parade

This year's parade will be held on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Line-up begins at 10:00 A.M. at the Yale parking lot. Parade begins at 11:00 A.M. Participants can register by calling the Lenoir City Parks and Recreation Department at 865-986-1223.

Cool Down in Downtown

"Cool Down in Downtown" is a homemade ice cream contest that will be held in downtown Lenoir City. Local businesses, church groups, schools, civic groups, or anyone in the general public are welcome to enter a team(s). There is no entry fee required. Teams will consist of three (3) members and must provide their own supplies to make and serve their ice cream. They also must provide tables and chairs to set up their booth.
