The Lenoir City Parks and Recreation Department strives to provide a broad range of recreation programs and facilities to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Lenoir City

F.A.Q. OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

1. Where is your office located? We are located at 119 W. Broadway directly across the street from the Lenoir City Public Library.

2. What are your office hours? Our offices are open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

3. How do we reserve a shelter at the City Park? You can reserve a shelter by calling City Hall at 986-1223, or by clicking on the link in the above right hand corner. Reservations for each year start on January 2 nd so call early in order to reserve your spot for the upcoming year. There is a $10 reservation fee for anyone reserving a shelter that is a non-city resident.

4. How do I sign up for a program or party at the city pool? You can call the parks and recreation office to check on available program and party dates but you have to come by the office, fill out the proper forms and pay the fees before we can guarantee your registration.

5. How do I rent parks and recreation facilities? In order to rent the Memorial Building or athletic facilities you should first call the Parks and Recreation Office to find out the rules and regulations for each facility. Rental will then be handled accordingly.

6. Can I have some input into ideas for new parks or programs? Yes. We are always looking for input from the public. For ideas and suggestions call Steve Harrelson, Director, at 986-1223.

Lenoir City Easter Egg Hunt
Date: March 22nd
Time: 1:00 PM
Location: Lenoir City Park

Movies in the Park
Date: One weekend in May, June, July and August
Time: Dusk
Location: Wampler–Keith Park
Look for specific dates and movie titles to be announced at a later date

Rockin’ The Docks
Date: May 24th and July 5th
Time: 3:00 PM to Fireworks
Location: Lenoir City Park

Swimming Pool Opening

Seniors Dance Night
Come be a part of the fun while other seniors dance to a variety of music. Dance styles ranging from the Two-step to Appalachian dance styles are performed on Saturday nights. A live band performs every Saturday night as well.
General public is welcome!
Time: 7:00pm

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Interested persons can register for programs by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 865-986-1223. Registration information can be taken on the telephone but participants will still need to come by the Parks and Recreation Office and prepay before they are officially registered. For any additional registration information, call the Parks and Recreation offices.
