Lenoir City Municipal Court Office is located in Lenoir City Hall. Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Lenoir City Municipal Court is in session on the 1st and 3rd Thursday's of each month at 8:00 AM; and on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays at 2:00 PM. The Court Clerk's Office is staffed by Deputy Clerk's from the Recorder/Treasurer's Office. This Office can be contacted by phone at (865) 986-2227.

The City Court Clerk's Office is responsible for notifying the State of Tennessee with monthly revenue reports, initiation of suspended licenses, and various other court related documentation.

The issue of uncollected fines and past dues is something that the department is working to correct. The City Court Clerk and Deputy Clerks are "tracking down", mailing out past due notification letters, and placing phone calls in an attempt to collect fines and past dues. If an individual fails to satisfy the conditions determined by the court, the City of Lenoir City will implement its collection process to include the following:

  • Garnishment of wages
  • Attachments or liens on vehicles, bank accounts, and other personal property
  • Suspension of driver's license, in accordance with the Tennessee Department of Safety
  • Issuance of an arrest warrant for contempt of court

*Make money order or cashier's check payable to the City of Lenoir City. Please enclose the pink copy of the citation with your payment to insure proper credit.
