Reserving A Park Shelter

Spring is almost upon us and many of you are ready to reserve a park shelter for your upcoming spring and summer events. Shelters may be reserved in one of two ways. You may call the Parks and Recreation office at 986-1223, or you may click on the link below to email in your shelter request.

Lenoir City Goes Green

Many of you may have heard that Lenoir City is trying out a new pilot program for curbside recycling. In January, the residents of Allenbrook received a postcard letting them know that their neighborhood would be the first in Lenoir City to get to participate in this exciting program. The program provides free bags to hold recyclables. Residents are asked to place their sorted items in separate bags. At this time we are picking up newspapers, office paper, tin cans, aluminum cans, and plastics. The recyclables are placed on the curb the same day as regular trash pick up. So far the program is off to a great start. With continued success, we hope to be adding additional neighborhoods later this spring.
